WARRANTY POLICY

1. Introduction


Ebros International Trading Pty Ltd trading as FitPax ("FitPax", "we", "us", "our") provides the warranties described in this policy for products purchased through our website or authorised sales channels.


This Warranty Policy operates alongside and does not replace your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.


Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.


You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.


2. Products Covered by This Warranty


This Warranty Policy applies to the following product categories sold by FitPax:

  • Walking pads and under desk treadmills
  • Fitness trampolines and rebounders
  • Steppers and home exercise equipment
  • Associated accessories supplied with the above products


3. Standard Warranty Period


Unless otherwise stated on the product page, FitPax provides a 24 month limited warranty from the date of purchase covering defects in materials and workmanship.


Consumable components and wear parts carry shorter warranty periods, which are set out in section 5.


This warranty applies to products used in a domestic household setting. Products used in a commercial, gym, studio or hire setting are not covered by this warranty.

5. Components With Shorter Warranty Periods


Certain components are considered consumable items and are subject to shorter warranty periods due to normal wear and tear.

6. What This Warranty Covers


This warranty covers manufacturing defects that arise during normal and intended use of the product.


Examples include:

  • Motor failure arising from a manufacturing defect
  • Controller or display faults caused by manufacturing defects
  • Electrical faults caused by manufacturing defects
  • Structural failure of a frame under normal use
  • Defects in assembly
  • Product components failing under normal intended use


Where a valid warranty claim is confirmed, FitPax may elect to:

  • repair the product
  • supply a replacement part
  • replace the product
  • provide a refund where required under the Australian Consumer Law


7. What This Warranty Does Not Cover


This warranty does not cover faults or damage caused by circumstances outside normal use.


Examples include misuse or improper use, including:

  • Exceeding the maximum user weight stated for the product
  • Use by more than one person at a time
  • Running or sprinting on a product rated for walking speeds only
  • Use on an uneven, unstable, slippery or elevated surface
  • Use outdoors, or exposure of electrical components to water or moisture
  • Use in a commercial, gym, studio or hire setting
  • Performing stunts, somersaults or multiple user jumping on a fitness trampoline


Accidental damage, including:

  • Impact damage
  • Damage caused by drops or improper transport


Unauthorised modifications or repairs, including:

  • Alterations to electrical components
  • Use of non-approved replacement parts or power adaptors
  • Third party repairs not authorised by FitPax


Normal wear and tear, including:

  • Wear of the running belt, deck and rollers
  • Stretching or fatigue of bungee cords
  • Wear of the jumping mat
  • Scratches and cosmetic damage


Failure to follow assembly, maintenance or safety instructions, including failure to lubricate the running belt as described in the product instructions.


8. Motor and Electrical Components


Walking pads and under desk treadmills contain an electric motor, a control board and a display.


These products are designed for domestic use at the duty cycle described in the product instructions. Continuous use beyond the recommended session length or daily running time may shorten the life of the motor and is not covered under warranty.


Products must be connected to a suitable power outlet, must not be used with a damaged cord or plug, and must be switched off and disconnected before cleaning, folding, moving or storing.


Damage caused by power surges, use with a non approved adaptor, or exposure of electrical components to moisture is not covered under warranty.


9. Wear Parts, Belts and Bungee Cords


The running belt, deck, rollers, bungee cords and jumping mat are wear parts.


The following are normal characteristics of use and are not considered defects:

  • gradual wear of the running belt surface
  • gradual stretching or softening of bungee cords
  • changes in bounce or belt feel over time
  • surface marking of the deck


Regular maintenance as described in the product instructions, including lubrication of the running belt and periodic belt tension and alignment checks, is a condition of the motor and belt warranty.


Damage caused by failure to lubricate or maintain the product is not covered under warranty.


10. Weight Limits and Intended Use


Each product has a maximum user weight, which is stated in the product instructions.


Products must be used by one person at a time, on a level and stable surface, with adequate clearance at the sides and behind the product.


Damage or failure caused by exceeding the stated weight limit, by use by more than one person, or by use outside the intended purpose of the product is not covered under warranty.


11. Accidental Damage


The warranty does not cover damage caused by accidents including:

  • dropping the product
  • impact damage
  • structural damage caused by collisions
  • improper transportation


12. Modifications and Unauthorised Repairs


This warranty does not apply where the product has been:

  • modified
  • altered
  • repaired by a person not authorised by FitPax
  • fitted with non-approved parts


Unauthorised modification of electrical components may create safety risks and will void the warranty.


13. Warranty Claims


To make a warranty claim customers must provide:

  • proof of purchase
  • order number
  • description of the issue
  • photographs or video where relevant


FitPax may request that the product be returned for inspection before determining whether the warranty applies.


14. Return and Inspection


Where a product must be returned for inspection, customers must contact FitPax before sending the product.


Products must be clean and dry before being returned, with any moving or hinged parts folded, secured or restrained as described in the product instructions.


15. Limitation of Warranty


To the maximum extent permitted by law, FitPax’s liability under this warranty is limited to the remedies set out in this policy.


Nothing in this policy limits rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.
